I’m planning to quit smoking by my birthday which is a couple of days away, is it true that i will gain weight?, and what’s better, to gradually minimize the cigarettes i smoke daily or to just quit? do the nicotine gums help? any other tips? (I smoke 10 cigarettes a day and I’ve been smoking for 2.5 years now)
Answer:
If you only smoke 10 cigarettes a day, it should be easier to quit than if you smoked a pack a day or more. The nicotine gums could help, but don’t over do it or you’ll get hooked on that instead.
Try to just cut back with no help from gums or patches. You’ll be better off.
As for the gaining weight. People gain weight when they substitute eating for smoking. So you shouldn’t worry about it. Just eat as normal, but don’t eat instead of smoking.
